Semplicemente un Festival

La 16^ edizione del Premio Libero Bizzarri si presenta così: un Festival, "The" Festival of Italian documentaries.
Missing the word "review" (in the name since the first edition), replaced by no means original, but the immediate impact, DocFilmFest, the 16th Prix Free Gonzo is going to become what it has been for years, but never explicitly said, a sort of David di Donatello Italian documentary. Not surprisingly, the jury made by students of the International Documentary "Free Gonzo" (with the assistance of supervising technical / artistic Francesco Calogero), will award prizes to the doc, as well as the David di Donatello assigns them to the cinema of fiction . The awards are provided for documentary, narrative, photography, editing, sound, musical score and original production. The similarity in appearance
"challenging", with the showcase of our cinema of fiction, finds its raison d'être from the fact that this edition contains the best of Italian documentary in 2008 and manages to get a glimpse of what will be the lines trend of the current year. Doubled the number of entries to the competition, we immediately realized we are faced with a quantum shift of our event. Filmmakers and production companies the most important (and without a job "diplomat" at the back), have posted their work considering the mere presence at the "competition" of the bizarre in itself an important fact.
Hence the need to gaze at and review the same "package" of our proposal that, thanks to the experience of last year (the showcase offered to all entries), decided to continue on this road, the evidence is that , has proven successful in terms of offering quality "nationally.
The main container, the main theme of the Festival, and in 2009 the Environment (as for 2008 were: Human Rights). A theme that cuts across all the proposals that are filmic since, however, the context is environment-nature-land any step that part of human existence and beyond. Summarising this path at the Festival, he could be defined as "The culture of the earth, the essence of the sea", then that is the cultural dimension of San Benedetto del Tronto, a city that hosts the festival.
