It's called Energy and Empire is a new board game ludo-educational character to explore the world of renewable energy, having fun.
Designed by three young graduates with a passion for science communication, "Energy Empire" began as a final project for a master on renewable energy held within Project - TERS (Talent, Energy, Research, Development, Organization) - which took AREA Science Park between the main partners.
Funded by the Foundation for the South within the projects for the development of human capital of excellence, the Master TERS formed fifteen graduates living in Sardinia with the aim of countering the "brain drain", to foster business creation and inclusion in organizations of the territory.
curiosity, a bit of scientific expertise and at least twelve years of age are the requirements to play and highlight the positive aspects of sustainable energy and issues relating to their dissemination and usage. The aim of the game is to gradually replace the energy produced from fossil fuels with those generated from renewable sources, being always careful to respect the constraints and conditions imposed by the European Union. You can play a minimum of two and a maximum of five players. The winner is who reaches the full energy sustainability or who remains in the race last.
Halfway between Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit, "Energy Empire" consists of a board representing Europe, on which five nations are represented, pieces of different size and shape of the card Rinnovatività, Research and applications, and a nut twelve faces. At the time they were made, as a prototype and with the help of AREA, hundred copies of the new board game.
